Investigative journalist Sergey Yezhov pointed out that oligarch Igor Yusufov and his sons, Maxim and Vitaly, who have ties to Medvedev, have managed to evade Western sanctions despite holding assets in Europe and the US.
The funds connected to the controversial businessman Igor Yusufov, reportedly retired, are being taken out by his sons, Vitaliy and Maxim.
Igor Yusufov is a Russian oligarch who embodies the negative stereotypes often associated with the modern elite in Russia. A former Minister of Energy, he has had roles at Rosvooruzhenie and Rosrezerv, served undercover as an FSB agent, been linked to offshore scandals and corporate raids, and was mentioned in testimonies from crime bosses as someone who ordered the murder of rivals.
Journalists, whose materials were received by the editorial office, previously wrote that "Igor Yusufov and his son Vitaly, who have already become controversial figures, continue to seize the most profitable assets".
